Conference reviewing the activities in 2015 of HCMC Cargo Transport Association
In order to review the operation situation in 2015 and set out the direction and tasks of 2016, on December 26, the City Cargo Transport Association of Ho Chi Minh City (CTA) held the 2015 Reviewing Conference. At the conference, delegates and members of the Association discussed, evaluated and learned from what had been done and still stuck in 2015. Since then, the conference set out the direction and criteria for 2016 activities.
2015 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Cargo Transport Association for the term of 2014 - 2019, in the context of the difficult economic situation in the country and Ho Chi Minh City, the Government and the Transport Industry authorities tighten the management of transport and vehicle load, fluctuate fuel prices, many BOT toll stations affecting transportation costs, etc. However with great efforts of the Association members together with the Association's Leadership Board, in 2015, the Association achieved remarkable achievements: focusing on membership work, step by step promoting its role and expertise of the office, improving working methods and ways, gradually stabilizing the organizational structure, coordinating well with authorities, proposing to solve some problems of members to overcome imbalance etc.

With the results achieved in 2015 as well as the evaluation of learning from the weaknesses, in 2016, the main task of the Association is to continue implementing the resolution of the Congress set for the term of 2014 - 2019. In 2016, it is necessary to focus: promoting the activities of the Association; supporting members to improve their competitiveness; promoting production and business development, etc.
Along with the proposed directions and tasks in 2016, the Association also made a number of recommendations to the leaders of the Ministry of Transport and the City People's Committee such as:
The National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Transport and the City People's Committee should direct strictly implementing the issued regulations, thoroughly handling the situation of "overloading", adjusting the handling level of violations between enterprises compared with the individual owners of means of transport, adding goods owners to the subject being handled with violations.
Continue requesting the Ministry of Transport to consider adjusting some inappropriate regulations in Decree 86, Circular 63, Circular 46 and guiding some points in Circular 60, extending the SMRM improvement period to the end of 2016.
Request the Department of Transport to adjust and supplement coordination regulations; Supporting the training for the Operators, overcoming degradation at Dao Tri street, setting up the weighing station to control the situation at some focal points.

With the results achieved in 2015 together with the efforts of the Association members, it is hoped that in 2016, the transport industry in general and the transportation industry in particular will achieve prosperous results, contributing to the general economic development of the country.
