What is a Modular Trailer?
A modular trailer (also known as a Modular Trailer or Hydraulic Platform Trailer) is a specialized trailer often used to transport oversized, heavy, and non-detachable cargo in industries such as energy, oil & gas, and construction.
This type of multi-axle trailer consists of modules connected together (each module has 3 to 8 axles) and operates with hydraulic goosenecks/tow bars (3 to 5 meters long) or in combination with turntables/central recessed sections (9 to 12 meters long). Equipped with a shock-absorbing system, it ensures safety, stability, and a load capacity of up to 45 tons per axle.
