The program of walking for "for victims of dioxin and poor handicapped" for the ninth time in 2015

Nearly 10,000 people responded to the walk “for victims of dioxin and poor handicapped for the ninth time” in 2015 held by the Red Cross of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Vietnam Television Channels and Vietnam Media Development JSC.

This program was held to propagate and raise funds to help victims of dioxin and poor handicapped. With the message “Please not forget them - Whoever you are, what position you have in society, your contribution to the victims of dioxin and poor handicapped always give them greater confidence in life”.

According to Mr. Nguyen Binh Tru, Vice President of HCMC Red Cross: “the City Association and Red Cross Association of districts take care of them monthly and funded for 2,531 victims; handicapped in difficult circumstances; provides regular subsidy for 495 cases; donated 355 wheelchairs; donated 30 cows to households in Cu Chi, Hoc Mon and Binh Chanh districts (worth VND 30 million each). The total donation value in 2014 was over VND2.2 billion”.

On August 4, 2015, HCMC Red Cross Association held a press conference to introduce the 9th walking program "for victims of dioxin and poor handicapped" and the organizers will also visit and give gifts to families infected with dioxin in Ho Chi Minh city and Can Gio district.

The program of walking "“for victims of dioxin and poor handicapped” took place at 6:30 a.m. on August 9, 2015 at Dam Sen cultural park and broadcast live on VTV9.

This program has the participation of Tan Thanh company, enterprises, state agencies, schools, ... in HCMC.

Responding to this program, there were 30 employees of Tan Thanh attending the program. When attending the program, attendees wore uniforms, hats (provided), wore sports shoes and had a 16-seater car departing at yard 2 at 5:00 pm to take you to Dam Sen Park.

In 2014, Tan Thanh company’s employees also participated in the walk "for victims of dioxin and poor handicapped for the 8th time" by the Red Cross of Ho Chi Minh City.
