Tan Thanh Container Successfully Organized the 2014 Labor Conference

On March 2nd, 2014 in Thu Duc District, Tan Thanh Mechanical Trading Corporation solemnly organized the 2014 Labor Conference. Attending the conference, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, the Vice President of the Labor Federation of Thu Duc District, Mr. Kieu Cong Thanh, Party Cell Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tan Thanh Company, and more than 100 representatives of more than 500 employees of Tan Thanh company nationwide.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Mai Duc Thinh - Chief Executive of the General Director’s Office read the brief report on the results achieved in 2013, the major tasks orientation in 2014. Accordingly, the year of 2013 was full of difficulties and challenges in production and business activities of Tan Thanh. The company's revenue increased 2% compared to 2012 and reached 80% of the year plan. However, Tan Thanh also achieved some humanitarian success: establishing the Party Cell and the Youth Union of Tan Thanh company; facilitating stable jobs for more than 500 workers with an average income of VND 6 million/month; honored to receive the 2013 Vietnam Gold Star Award; contributing more than VND 200 million to Binh Thuan Provincial Science Fund; Exporting more than 50 office containers of all kinds to the Cambodian market ... Following those successes, in 2014, the Board of Directors set a target of more than 30% growth stabilizing the workforce, and constantly improving income and enhancing material, spiritual life and working conditions for employees.

Next, Mr. Tran Van Hung, the President of the Trade Union, on behalf of employees, synthesized and reported to the conference questions, recommendations and comments of employees. The employees' opinions focused on the main contents such as: adjusting working time to be more reasonable; regularly organize training courses to improve skills, training on labor safety; building a solid, safe, green, clean and beautiful working environment; regularly review the package salary regime; annual income adjustment; assisting workers in terms of rental costs. Representatives of the Board of Directors seriously listened to, received comments, gave detailed explanations, and committed to act in 2014 to meet the legitimate expectations of employees. Tan Thanh Container firmly holds its point of view that "employees are the most valuable treasures of the company, in all things, priority is always given to ensuring the interests of employees".

Representative of the Labor Federation of Thu Duc District, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, made an enthusiastic and sincere speech at the conference. Accordingly, Mr. Phuong highly appreciated the achievements that Tan Thanh has achieved in production and business activities, taking care of the lives of workers, especially the great contributions of Tan Thanh to society and agriculture of Vietnam. Mr. Phuong also praised the Tan Thanh’s Trade Union for its continuous efforts on successfully completing the tasks assigned by the superior federation, with creative and practical models which have achieved many successes. Tan Thanh’s Trade Union has always been the flagship of the emulation movements for many years, always a model of the District. Mr. Phuong also hopes that, in the upcoming time, under the leadership of the Party Cell, the Board of Directors, the Trade Union of Tan Thanh company will achieve more success, the employees' lives will be increasingly improved.

Also at the Labor Conference, representatives of the Labor Federation of Thu Duc District, representatives of the Board of Directors, representatives of Tan Thanh;s Trade Union awarded certificates of merit and gifts to 13 excellent trade union teams, 93 excellent union members and 25 excellent members.
