Tan Thanh Company was honoured to sponsor the first congress of HCM City Cargo Transport Association
On October 29th, 2020, Tan Thanh Trading and Mechanical Corporation was honored to become one of the main sponsors, accompanying Ho Chi Minh City Cargo Transport Association to successfully organize the First Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
At the Congress, the Charter of the Association was adopted with the consent of all participating members and the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee of the Association were elected for the term of 2020-2025.
HCMC Cargo Transport Association with more than 20 years of establishment and development
Ho Chi Minh City Cargo Transport Association was established in 1998, under the Vietnam Automobile Transport Association. After more than 20 years of operation, the Association has launched many programs to support its members, proposed and recommended the State authorities to assist in solving difficulties for enterprises. Specifically, it has proposed to manage vehicles of foreign-invested enterprises, paid attention to measures to reduce transport costs, regularly supported members with administrative procedures or in case of legal problems, enhanced exchanges and connections among regional associations and major domestic freight industry associations ... In 2016, the Association received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Transport and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. In 2018, the Association received the traditional flags of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Over the past time, the Association has always had pervasiveness in its activities, has been trusted by its members and highly appreciated by central and city State management agencies.
However, according to the Vietnam Automobile Transport Association, the Decree 45 of the Government issued in 2010 providing "Regulations on organization, operation and management of associations", the power to establish and approve the charter of associations is of the Internal Affair Ministry. The association can only set up the Party Cell so the naming of "Ho Chi Minh City Cargo Transport Association" is not compliant.
On January 30th, 2020, the Internal Affair Ministry issued the official letter No. 457/BNV-TCPCP "On reorganization of the Vietnam Automobile Transport Association in provinces" requesting Vietnam Automobile Transport Association to dissolve local associations. Accordingly, the Vietnam Automobile Transport Association decided to dissolve Ho Chi Minh City Cargo Transport Association.
With the desire to cooperate and support each other, develop and protect legitimate rights and interests of enterprises, the Executive Committee of the HCMC Cargo Transport Association held meetings and agreed to carry out the procedures as prescribed by the HCMC People's Committee to re-establish the Association.
On August 28, 2020, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued a decision "Allowing the establishment of the HCMC Cargo Transport Association". With the consent of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, on October 29, 2020, the HCMC Cargo Transport Association officially launched and held the first congress for the term of 2020-2025. Accordingly, the HCMC Cargo Transport Association is a professional social organization, organized and operated under the charter, has legal entity, seal and manages its operating budget by itself.
Until now, the Association has nearly 150 members, who are cargo transport enterprises in the city. The main activity fields include transporting goods by road, waterway and supporting services for transportation activities such as yards, supply of materials, fuel, spare parts, ... The purpose of the Association is to link cooperation and mutual assistance among members in management, administration and production and business activities to create an equal freight transport business environment, healthy competition, contribute to improving economic efficiency and promote the development of enterprise members.
At the congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen, Chairman of Vietnam Automobile Transport Association said that the HCMC Cargo Transport Association was an active association, effectively contributing to the overall operation of the Association of Vietnam and it also helped the State agencies to improve institutions and solve shortcomings in management.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy General Director of Tan Thanh Company - Ms. Kieu Ngoc Phuong expressed: “Tan Thanh Company is honored to accompany transportation enterprises and contribute their strength in the global supply chain. The development of members of the HCM City Cargo Transport Association is also the development of Tan Thanh Company ”.
At the congress, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Cargo Transport Association, Mr. Nguyen Van Chanh - Vice President and General Secretary of the Association also launched a donation to support people in Central provinces to overcome the damage caused by rain, flood. This program was supported by the participants at the Congress. In which, Tan Thanh was the leading enterprise responding to the spirit for the community and contributed VND 50,000,000 to support the people in the Central of Vietnam
