On April 27, 2014, the 4th trade union congress of Tan Thanh Mechanic and Trading Corporation for the term of 2014 - 2019, inaugurated at the hall of the Labor Federation of Thu Duc district. There were 123 delegates on behalf of more than 500 corporate union members, officers and employees of the company attending the congress. Attending the congress, there were: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - District Commissioner, President of the Thu Duc District Labor Federation; Mr. Kieu Cong Thanh - Secretary of the Party Cell, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tan Thanh Company; Trade Union representatives of companies located in the district.

Opening of the congress, Mr. Tran Van Hung, President of Tan Thanh Trade Union emphasized that, in the past two years, with the attention and regular direction of the district Labor Federation, the close coordination of the Board of Directors, Tan Thanh’s Trade Union has been constantly growing, dynamic, creative, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, employees. Thereby, employees have made great contributions to the sustainable development of Tan Thanh company, contributing to the development of the country.

On behalf of the Presidium of the Congress, Mr. Tran Van Hung read the report on the operation results of Tan Thanh Trade Union for the term of 2012 - 2014; directions, goals, tasks and solutions for trade union activities in the 2014-2019 term. In the past term, Tan Thanh Trade Union made efforts to renovate and strongly focus on the representative function, care for and protect the legal and legitimate rights and interests of the employees; take the initiative in organizing the implementation of grassroots democracy in enterprises. Propaganda and education work has been gradually renewed in terms of content and form, bringing practical effects. The Trade Union Executive Committee coordinates with the Board of Directors to propose a number of incentive policies to encourage and motivate workers such as the monthly A, B, C allowance for diligence, rewarding the effectiveness of production, export, business, seniority allowance, bonus for 10-year contribution (equivalent to two tenth of a tael), bonus for employees for contribution of 20 years (equivalent to 1,20556 troy ounces), noxious training, travel and phone allowance, …

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kieu Cong Thanh highly appreciated the achievements that the Trade Union of Tan Thanh has achieved over the years, and emphasized: Determining the important role of Trade Union in the unit. The Board of Directors of the company has always paid attention to facilitate all conditions in terms of both material and mechanism for the Company Union to well deploy activities and movements. The economic situation at home and abroad is happening very complicatedly in an unfavorable direction. The workload of the company in the upcoming time is very heavy, from maintaining the market, expanding production and business activities, increasing revenue and profitability to taking good care of the lives of officers and employees. ... Therefore, the duties and responsibilities of the Trade Union of the company are also very much, requiring a strong breakthrough in the activities of the Trade Union, coordinating well with the Board of Directors, the authority and the District Labor Federation to well implement the above objectives.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh praised and appreciated the activities of Tan Thanh Trade Union in the past 2 years. Tan Thanh’s Trade Union has continuously grown in all aspects, which has always been the leading force and has made many important contributions to the overall development of the worker movement in the district. In the upcoming period, Tan Thanh’s Trade Union needs to constantly improve propaganda and education of workers, especially the propaganda of Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (tenth term) on “Continuing to developing the Vietnamese workers in the period of accelerating national industrialization and modernization”; The company’s trade union needs to have practical solutions to further promote patriotic emulation movements, arousing and maximizing resources in the employee's labor force; focusing on training, fostering, capacity building, qualifications, political quality of the Union staff; Besides activities to take care of the material and spiritual life for employees, the Trade Union must focus on mobilizing employees to accompany enterprises to overcome difficulties, develop production and business activities.

At the congress, the Board of Directors coordinated with the Company’s Trade Union to present flowers, medals, 2 gold medals to officials and employees who had been with the company for more than 10 years. This is a very meaningful activity that demonstrates the appreciation and recognition of the staff's contributions to the company's success.

The Congress also elected 7 members to the Executive Committee of Tan Thanh Trade Union, term of 2014 - 2019. At the first Conference, the Trade Union Executive Committee elected Mr. Tran Van Hung as the Chairman, elect Mr. Vu Anh Van as Vice President of Tan Thanh’s Trade Union for the fourth term of 2014 - 2019.
